| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with analysis of foreign direct investment flows in BRIC countries. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is supported by fundamental definitions and aspects of FDI and particularly describes FDI's benefits and drawbacks. The second part is devoted to introducing BRIC countries and analysing selected economic indicators. The last part is focused on the analysis of FDI development in particular countries and on its significance for economic growth. The thesis is essentially based on a regression analysis and comparative method. |

| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou toků přímých zahraničních investic (PZI) v zemích BRIC. Práce je rozdělena na tři části. První část vychází z obecných definic PZI a především popisuje jejich pozitivní a negativní dopady na hostitelskou ekonomiku. Druhá část je věnována představení zemí BRIC a analyzuje vybrané ekonomické ukazatele. Třetí část spočívá v analýze vývoje PZI v jednotlivých zemích a jejich významu pro růst ekonomiky (HDP). Obecnou metodou zkoumání dané problematiky je regresní analýza a metoda komparace. |
