| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce analyzuje vztahy mezi USA a Venezuelou od konce druhé světové války až po současnost. Práci jsem rozdělila do čtyř kapitol. První z nich uvádí čtenáře do tématu a seznamuje ho s vývojem Venezuely až do druhé světové války. Druhá kapitola pokrývá období od druhé světové války až do roku 1998. Třetí a nejrozsáhlejší kapitola analyzuje americko-venezuelské vztahy po dobu vlády Huga Cháveze a jeho nástupce Nicoláse Madury. V poslední kapitole jsem rozebrala čtyři nejdůležitější témata, která Venezuela a USA musejí ve své spolupráci řešit -- lidská práva, energetiku, drogy a terorismus. |

| Abstract: | The thesis analyzes the relations between the USA and Venezuela since the Second World War to the present. The work is divided into four chapters. The first one introduces the topic to the reader explaining the development of Venezuela until the Second World War. The second chapter covers the period from World War II until 1998, the third and longest chapter analyzes the US-Venezuelan relations during the government of Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolás Maduro. In the last chapter I summarized the four most important topics that Venezuela and the United States must deal with - human rights, energy, drugs and terrorism. |
