Dollarized reality: Case of Zimbabwe

The objective of the thesis is to find out, whether dollarization has brought the economic revival to Zimbabwe. Additionally, a possibility of inflation correlation between depending and anchoring country is the thesis hypothesis, which is analyzed with the help of appropriate test statistic. The thesis consists of five chapters, which explain the difference and specialties of dollarization types; describe history of hyperinflation and period of it; investigate the flow of dollarization process in Zimbabwe; analyze the hypothesis and research assumptions regarding the economic outcome after dollarization and consider available options for exchange rate regime development. At the end of the day, the case of Zimbabwe is worth attention and leaves space for further research, especially if a researcher has access to reliable sources of economic results. Later on it'll be easier to answer the question of correlation of inflation between Zimbabwe and anchoring countries. Dollarization brought end of hyperinflation and stopped the crises, but for successful development the structural reforms should follow.
