| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zaobírá aktuálně rezonující tématikou mikrofinancování, na které je nahlíženo jako na efektivní způsob vedoucí ke snižování chudoby v rozvojových zemích. Rozmach systému je spojován s poklesem sociální efektivnosti vedoucí mikrofinanční instituce k maximalizaci zisku. Práce se zaměřuje na bližší specifikaci mikrofinančního trhu a vybraná diskutovaná témata, která vyústí v tzv. "mission drift" -- rozpor mezi finanční a sociální efektivností. Pozornost je také věnována cílovému segmentu trhu. V praktické části jsou data demonstrována na jednom z největších mikrofinančních center, oblasti Latinské Ameriky a Karibiku. Cílem práce je zhodnotit efektivnost hospodaření mikrofinančních institucí na základě provedené empirické analýzy. |

| Abstract: | This Bachelor's thesis deals with an actual topic - microfinance. This system is viewed as an effective way how to reduce poverty in developing countries. The system expansion is connected with decreasing social performance which leads the microfinance institutions maximize their profits. The thesis focuses on the specification of the microfinance market and choosen discussed topics resulting to "mission drift" - conflict between financial and social performance. The target market segmentation is also considered as an important issue. In a practical part of the thesis the data of the biggest microfinance centre, area of Latin America and Caribbean, are analysed. The aim of the thesis is to measure the efficiency of the microfinance institutions based on empiric analysis. |
