| Abstract: |
Diplomová práce je zaměřena na slabé stránky ekonomiky Latinské Ameriky a jejich dopady na budoucí vývoj regionu. První kapitola přibližuje historický vývoj Latinské Ameriky a charakterizuje ji po ekonomické, demograficko-sociální i politické stránce. Na závěr první části je také vypracována SWOT analýza regionu. Druhá část práce se věnuje hospodářským krizím v regionu s důrazem na argentinský bankrot z přelomu let 2001 a 2002. Třetí oddíl patří největším problémům současné Latinské Ameriky. Mezi ně patří organizovaný zločin, korupce a klientelismus, obchod s drogami, ale také nedokončená panamerická integrace a liberalizace obchodu. Závěrečná část práce poté přináší pohled na několik možných scénářů budoucího vývoje Latinské Ameriky. |

| Abstract: |
The thesis is focused on weaknesses of Latin America's economy and their impact on the future of the region. The first chapter deals with the history of Latin America. It also describes its economic, demographic, social and political state. It contains SWOT analysis of the region, too. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to economic crises in the region with special emphasis on the bankruptcy of Argentina in 2001/2002. The third chapter names the biggest problems of contemporary Latin America including corruption and clienteism, organized crime,trade with drugs and incomplete panamerican integration and trade liberalization. The last part of the thesis offers several possible scenarios of Latin Ameerica's future. |
