| Abstract: | Každý rok, čím dál intenzivněji, se setkáváme v médiích, ve svém okolí, od blízkých či rodiny s pojmem celiakie. Ale ještě je stále mnoho lidí, kteří netuší, co se pod daným pojmem skrývá a možná jsou to právě oni, kteří jí trpí, které ohrožuje nesnášenlivost lepku a ani si to neuvědomují. Jen v České republice se odhaduje počet celiaků na padesát až dvěstěpadesát tisíc (dle zdroje), přičemž jen patnáct až dvacet tisíc je z tohoto počtu diagnostikovaných. V dnešní době se přistupuje k celiakii s respektem, a v České republice se mnoho zdravotnických pracovišť uchyluje k cílenému screeningu, a z důvodu vysoké prevalence nemoci byl dokonce i vydán metodický pokyn k diagnostikování celiakie. Avšak i po správné diagnóze lékařem, jedinou možnou úspěšnou léčbou celiakie, chronického onemocnění tenkého střeva, je celoživotní bezlepková dieta. |

| Abstract: | Every year, more and more intensively, we see in the media, in our surroundings, from loved ones and families with the term of Coeliac Disease. But there are still many people who have no idea what's hidden under that term, and perhaps they are the ones who suffer from it, who can have gluten intolerance. In the Czech Republic, the is estimated number of celiac patients on 50-250000 (according to sources), while only 15 to 20,000 is the number of diagnosed. Today, the approach with respect to celiac disease, and in the Czech Republic, many medical centers resorts to targeted screening, and because of the high prevalence of the disease was even published Guidelines for diagnosing of Coeliac Disease. However, even after proper diagnosis by a doctor, the only successful treatment of celiac disease is a lifelong gluten-free diet. |
