| Abstract: | Práce zpracovává problematiku využití památek industriální architektury a brownfields v českých městech. Pomocí dostupných zdrojů popisuje teoretické aspekty problematiky -- důvody vzniku brownfields, jejich kategorizaci a možnosti revitalizace brownfields, včetně nástinu financování. Speciální pozornost je věnována možnostem využití industriálních památek pro umělecké účely. V praktické části je provedena analýza revitalizace brněnské Vaňkovky, především zde sídlící Richard Adam Gallery (bývalé Wannieck gallery). Práce popisuje historii, vizi galerie a její aktivity, včetně nedávných diskuzí o jejím uzavření. Vychází z dostupné literatury, v praktické části čerpá především z rozhovorů s aktéry. Jejím cílem je vřazení proběhlé konverze Vaňkovky do teoretického kontextu revitalizací brownfields v ČR, a konkrétní doporučení pro provozovatele galerií v těchto prostorách. |

| Abstract: | The thesis is focused on a phenomenon of industrial architecture and brownfields in the Czech Republic. Using relevant sources it describes all the theoretical aspects of the issue -- reasons of existence of brownfields, their categories and also possibilities of financing. Special attention is paid to the usage of former industrial buildings as cultural centres (galleries). In the second part of the thesis the revitalization of Vaňkovka in Brno is analyzed, especially Richard Adam Gallery (former Wannieck Gallery) which resides in one of the buildings of Vaňkovka. The thesis describes its history and present activities. The aim of the thesis is to insert the reconversion of Vaňkovka into the theoretical context of revitalizations done in the Czech Republic and to make a recommendation for the other owners of art galleries in the industrial space. |
