| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce pokrývá základní rozsah problematiky hazardního průmyslu. Zaměřuje se obzvláště na ekonomickou podstatu a důsledky dopadů hazardu na ekonomiku Las Vegas a Macaa. Práce zkoumá hazardní průmysl ze sociálního i psychologického hlediska s důrazem na zhodnocení efektivnosti přístupů v globální komparaci. Hlavním výstupem práce je charakteristika hazardního průmyslu ve světě s konkrétním zaměřením na centra v Las Vegas a Macau. Cílem práce je zhodnotit specifické důvody vzniku těchto center a charakterizovat vztah mezi přidruženými průmyslovými sektory. Předkládaná práce je tvořena třemi kapitolami. První část je věnována hlavně vysvětlení teoretických pojmů. V úvodní kapitole je dále zkoumán hazard v globálním měřítku. Hlavní část práce tvoří rozbor hazardního průmyslu v oblasti Las Vegas. Stejný rozbor je vypracován i pro Macao. Hazard je zohledňován z několika hledisek s cílem najít hlavní rozdíly v přístupu na americkém potažmo asijském trhu. Velký důraz je kladen na vztah hazardního průmyslu k ostatním sektorům průmyslu a také potencionální spojitost s růstem kriminality. Součástí práce jsou zároveň některé soudobé trendy a prognózy budoucího vývoje. |

| Abstract: | The Bachelor thesis covers the basic scale of the gambling industry. It focuses particularly on the economic nature and consequences of gambling on the economy of Las Vegas and Macau. The work looks at and examines the gambling industry from a social and psychological aspect with emphasis on the evaluation of the effectiveness in global comparison. The main outcome of the work is characteristic of the gambling industry in the world, with a particular focus on the main centre of Las Vegas and Macau. The main aim is to assess the specific reasons for these centers and to characterize the relationship between the associated industrial sectors. The present work consists of three chapters. The first part is devoted mainly to theoretical explanations of terms. The introductory chapter also examines the gambling industry on a global scale. The main part consists of an analysis of the gambling industry in Las Vegas. A similar analysis is developed for the Asian-pacific region with a center in Macao. Gambling industry is researched from several perspectives in order to find major differences in the American hence the Asian market. A large emphasis is placed on the relationship of the gambling industry to the other sectors of the industry and the potential association with an increase in crime. Part of this work is focused on some contemporary trends and forecasts on future developments. |
