The introduction shortly describes the methodology of mortality, fertility and age structure characteristics. The main part of thesis deals with the analysis of the demographic processes from 1960 to 2011 according to available data. In terms of mortality, the thesis analyzes infant mortality, life expectancy of newborns, life expectancy at 20 years and life expectancy at 65 years. Analysis of fertility includes total fertility rate and the mean age of women at childbirth. The characteristics of the age structure are represented by the age index, index of economic burden of old, index of economic burden of young, index of economic burden old. Conclusion contains an optimal increase in retirement age (for each country separately) based on population projections to the year 2060. |
