| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá vývojem a riziky liberalizace čínského monetárního a bankovního systému. Nejdříve rozebírá postavení čínské ekonomiky ve světě z historické perspektivy a také současnou situaci s vymezením motorů jejího růstu a nerovnováh ekonomiky. Dále se věnuje čínskému monetárnímu systému s přiblížením bankovního systému, role centrální banky People's Bank of China a nástrojů měnové politiky. Podrobněji je analyzována čínská měna renminbi, kurzový systém a úroková míra. Práce se dále blíže věnuje liberalizaci čínského monetárního systému, když nejdříve teoreticky diskutuje deregulaci finančního systému a poté zhodnocuje postup při liberalizaci úrokové míry a kurzu renminbi v Číně. Diskutována je možnost renminbi stát se světovou rezervní měnou. V závěru práce jsou zhodnocena rizika spojená s liberalizací monetárního systému a také výhody plynoucí z deregulace. |

| Abstract: | The main focus of this diploma thesis is the process of liberalization of Chinese monetary and banking system. In the beginning, the work sets Chinese economy in a global context when looking at historical perspective as well as at current situation explaining its growth model and imbalances. Further it is concerned with Chinese monetary system focusing especially on the banking system, roles of its central bank People's Bank of China and instruments of monetary policy. Deeper analysis explains Chinese currency renminbi, exchange rate system and interest rate system. The work evaluates more closely the process of monetary system liberalization when applying theoretical point of view on this issue and assessing the specific steps in interest rate and exchange rate deregulation. It also discusses a possibility of renminbi becoming global reserve currency. The end of the work evaluates risks and benefits connected with the process of liberalization of Chinese monetary policy. |
