| Abstract: | Sociální bydlení ve Velké Británii tvoří důležitou součást bytové politiky již od 19. století. Za významné období lze považovat 50. a 60. léta 20. století, která se vyznačují vysokými vládními investicemi do výstavby sociálních bytů. Tento rostoucí trend je pozastaven v průběhu 70. a 80. let z důvodu stagnace ekonomiky zapříčené ekonomickou krizí a snahou vlády o snížení veřejných výdajů do oblasti bydlení. Důležitým krokem se stala privatizace bytového fondu, kdy dle zákona Right to Buy byla velká část nemovitostí převedena do rukou soukromých investorů, neziskových organizací i nájemníků. Cílem práce je analýza vývoje sociálního bydlení ve Velké Británii od 50. let 20. století, přičemž důraz je kladen na období 70. a 80. let po současnost. Dílčím cílem je hodnocení současného stavu bytového fondu, které se vyznačuje nízkou výstavbou nových sociálních bytů, stárnutím bytového fondu a vysokými nájemními cenami. Závěrečná část práce je zaměřena na problematiku imigrantů ve vztahu k sociálnímu bydlení. |

| Abstract: | Social housing in the UK is an important part of housing policy since the 19th century. Significant periods of the 20th century can be considered 50s and 60s, which were characterized by an extensive financial and material government investment in social housing. This growing trend was suppressed during the 70s and 80s due to the economic stagnation caused by world economic crisis and the government's efforts to reduce public expenditure in the housing sector. An important move in developing social housing was the privatization of the housing stock, which by the law Right to Buy was a big part of the property transferred into the hands of private investors, non-profit organizations and tenants. The aim of the dissertation is to analyze the development of social housing in the UK from 50s of the 20th century, with an emphasis on the 70s and 80s to the present. The secondary aim is to evaluate the current state of the housing stock, which is characterized by low construction of new social housing, aging housing stock and high lease prices. The final part is focused on the issue of immigrants in relation to social housing. |
