| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je sestavit model rozhodování zemí o přistoupení k mezinárodním environmentálním dohodám. Ten vychází z existence tzv. spillover efektu, který v tomto případě znamená, že do rozhodování politiků dané země o přistoupení k dohodě vstupuje mimo jiné obava z oslabení obchodních vztahů s dalšími zeměmi v případě, že nebudou kopírovat rozhodnutí svých obchodních partnerů. Rozhodování je modelováno nejprve jako strategická a potom jako dynamická hra dvou hráčů. V další části je model podroben analýze v rámci dostupných dat, která do jisté míry, avšak ne jednoznačně, ukazuje na to, že jednání států odpovídá tomu, co předpovídá teoretický model. Tedy, že existuje vztah mezi uzavřenými mezinárodními environmentálními dohodami a silou obchodních vazeb mezi zeměmi. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to construct a model of countries' decision-making in the process of international environmental treaties signature and ratification. The base for the model is the spillover effect which in this case means that it is also the fear from trade relationships weakening that is a part of the polititians' decision making process. The model is constructed first as a strategic and later also a dynamic two-player game. At the end the model is tested on the available data which, up to some extent but not as a whole, show that the actions taken by the concrete states corresponds to the predictions of the theoretical model which means that there exists a relationship between the international environmental treaties that countries enter and the volume of their international trade. |
