| Abstract: | Předmětem bakalářské práce je měnová politika Bank of England a její změny v reakci na globální finanční krizi. Práce uvádí nástroje měnové politiky používané před finanční krizí a jejich fungování. Dále popisuje průběh a dopady krize na finanční systém ve Spojeném království včetně zestátnění značné části bankovního sektoru. Práce prezentuje motivy pro změnu instrumentů měnové politiky společně s možnostmi přeměny její celkové koncepce. Definuje nekonvenční měnovou politiku Bank of England - kvantitativní uvolňování, jeho fungování a faktory ovlivňující jeho účinnost a dopady. |

| Abstract: | The subject of the bachelor thesis is the monetary policy of the Bank of England and its changes in reaction to the global financial crisis. The work presents the instruments of monetary policy used before the crisis and their functioning. Then it characterises the process and the impact of the financial crisis on the financial system of the United Kingdom including the nationalisation of considerable part of the banking sector. The thesis states the reasons for the change of the instruments of monetary policy together with the option of transformation of its conception. It defines the unconventional monetary policy used by Bank of England -- quantitative easing, its functioning and factors affecting its efficiency and impact. |
