Project portfolio management (zkráceně PPM ) představuje způsob řízení skupiny projektů s cílem naplnění strategických cílů podniku. V odborné literatuře i v praxi je kladen důraz zejména na jeho předprojektovou fázi, ve které dochází k tvorbě a optimalizaci potrfolia. Diplomová práce na téma "Možnosti sledování úspěšnosti projektů pomocí PPM" se naopak zaměřuje na závěrečnou, poprojektovou fázi. Hlavním cílem této práce je aplikace principů, nástrojů a metodik Project portfolio managementu na oblast sledování úspěšnosti projektů. Práce vychází z rozdílného vnímání úspěšnosti projektů na úrovni jednotlivých projektů (PM) a na úrovni celého portfolia projektů (PPM). Na úvodní část, shrnující dosavadní teoretické poznatky, navazuje úsek věnující se metodikám obsahujícím prvky Project portfolio managementu. Praktická část je věnována principům pro efektivní sledování úspěšnosti projektů, dále softwarovým nástrojům pro podporu PPM a také přístupu k hodnocení projektů ve společnosti CSC Computer Sciences. |

Project portfolio management (PPM) represents the mehtods and principles used in the management of collection of projects in the companies with an aim to fulfill their strategic goals. In both the professional literature and practice, the accent is focused on the pre-project phase, where the project portfolio is created and optimized. The diploma thesis "The possibilities of project success monitoring through the use of PPM" is obversely aimed at the final, post-project phase. Main goal of this thesis is the application of principles, software tools and methodics related to Project portfolio management on the field of project success monitoring. The thesis is based on the different perception of project success on the level of individual projects (PM) to the level of whole project portfolio (PPM). The initial part summarizes existing theoretical knowledge on this field and is followed by the part dedicated to methodologies for Project portfolio management. The practical part of this thesis is focused on software tools for PPM support and the principles for effective project success monitoring. The thesis is concluded with the assessment of project management approach in the company CSC Computer Sciences. |
