| Abstract: | Cílem práce je zhodnotit efektivnost mikrofinancí a zjistit, jestli jsou natolik efektivním nástrojem, aby se daly použít jako součást mezinárodní rozvojové spolupráce. Práce se skládá celkem ze tří kapitol. První kapitola je věnována vymezení pojmu chudoba a způsobu jejího měření. Měření chudoby probíhá podle různých kritérií a může docházet k subjektivizaci. Druhá kapitola se zabývá mikrofinancemi a cílem této části je jejich zhodnocení jako jednoho z nástrojů boje proti chudobě. Ve třetí kapitole je v rámci případové studie hodnocena chudoba v Kambodži. Kambodža se řadí mezi chudé země, kde mikrofinance zaznamenávají velký úspěch. V rámci syntézy poznatků z předešlých kapitol je posuzována efektivita mikrofinancí a jejich aplikace v Kambodži. |

| Abstract: | Aim of the thesis is to evaluate the effectivenenss of microfinance and to investigate if they are effective enough to be used as a part of international development aid. The thesis consist of three parts. The first chapter is dedicated to a definition of poverty and describing means of measurement. Measurement of poverty can be proceeded according to different criteria and subjectivization is possible during this measurement. In the third chapter, there is a case study which evaluates the situation in Cambodia. Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world where microfinance record success. The effectiveness of microfinance is evaluated applying knowledge from the first and the second chapter. |
