| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce přináší ucelený pohled na jedno z nejkontroverznějších architektonických děl v centru Prahy, kterým je budova bývalého Federálního shromáždění - dnešní nová budova Národního muzea. Úvodem je přiblížen historický kontext, ve kterém budova získala současnou podobu, která je kritizována i obdivována, dále je představen její hlavní architekt Karel Prager včetně jeho myšlenek a tvorby. Stavba samotná je pak rozebrána z hlediska přínosu architektonické scéně své doby, společenského přínosu a je zhodnocena i z urbanistického pohledu. Nastíněn je také budoucí vývoj v rukou managementu Národního muzea. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor's thesis brings complete view on one of the most controversial architectonic piece of work in Prague city centre -- formerly The House of Federal Assembly, today National Museum New Building. In the beginning is explained the historical context of gaining its contemporary appearance, which is criticised and also admired. In another part is introduced leading architect Karel Prager including his ideas and works. The edifice itself is analysed from several points of view -- the contribution for architecture and society and the urbanic perspective. The next development directed by management of national Museum is presented at last. |
