| Abstract: | Práce si klade za cíl vyhodnotit, jaký vliv mají zhoršené bezpečnostní vztahy společně s bezpečnostními hrozbami na energetické vztahy EU a Ruska. Metodou zkoumání je analýza bezpečnostních strategií, ruského exportu a poptávky EU po dovozu ropy a zemního plynu. Práce potvrdila hypotézu, která tvrdí, že v energetických vztazích EU a Ruska převládne pragmatický přístup před politickými cíli. Ekonomická racionalita spolupráce je silnější než politická konfrontace, která vychází z protichůdných zájmů v probíhajících konfliktech na Ukrajině a v Sýrii. Důvodem pokračování energetických vztahů je vysoký stupeň vzájemné závislosti, dlouhodobé smluvní závazky a vysoké náklady na hledání alternativních dodavatelů, respektive odběratelů. |

| Abstract: | The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of the worsened security relations together with security threats to EU-Russia energy relations. The research method is an analysis of security strategies, Russian exports and EU demand for oil and natural gas imports. The hypothesis, claiming that a pragmatic approach will overcome political goals, was supported. Economic rationalities favouring cooperation will prevail over political confrontation resulting from competing interests in the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Syria. The reasons for the continuation of energy relations are the high degree of interdependence, long-term contracts, and high costs of seeking alternative suppliers and customers respectively. |
