| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem tzv. arabského jara na práva a postavení žen v Egyptě. V práci dochází ke komparaci a analýze zaměstnanosti žen, rodinného práva, násilí na ženách a dalších faktorů ve třech obdobích: před tzv. arabským jarem, v jeho průběhu a po něm. Hlavním cílem této práce je odpovědět na otázku, zda tzv. arabské jaro přineslo ženám lepší postavení ve společnosti. Analyzovány jsou jednotlivé články o právech žen v egyptských ústavách, které jsou poté porovnávány s mezinárodními úmluvami o právech žen. Tato práva jsou pak komparována se skutečným postavením žen, jak jsou popsána v reportech nevládních organizací a dalších zdrojích. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the so-called Arab Spring on the rights and the status of women in Egypt. The thesis compares and analyses women's employment, family law, violence against women and other factors in three periods of time: before, during and after the so-called Arab Spring. The main aim of this work is to answer the question of whether the so-called Arab spring has brought women a better position in society. Individual articles about women's rights in Egyptian constitutions are analysed and then compared with international conventions on women's rights. These rights are then compared to the actual status of women as described in NGO reports and other sources. |
