| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl zjistit a zhodnotit stav cestovního ruchu ve vybrané oblasti Skotska. Soustřeďuje se hlavně na příjezdový cestovní ruch. Práce je zaměřena na charakteristiku ubytovacích zařízení, jejich klasifikaci a kategorizaci.
Teoretická část obsahuje charakteristiku celého Skotska obecně, popisuje předpoklady pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu a uvádí některé organizace působící v cestovním ruchu. V teoretické části je také popsán vybraný region a jeho atraktivity. Dále byly zpracovány různé statistiky týkající se celé země i vybrané oblasti. Pomocí metody strukturovaného rozhovoru byla analyzována tři ubytovací zařízení v určité lokalitě. Rozhovory posloužily k bližšímu poznání místních ubytovacích zařízení a k identifikaci výhod i problémů v cestovním ruchu oblasti. Díky komparaci statistických údajů a vlastnímu výzkumu mohl být zhodnocen stav cestovního ruchu. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to find out and to assess the condition of tourism in a chosen region of Scotland. It is concentrated mainly on incoming tourism. The thesis focuses on characteristics of accommodation facilities, their classification and categorization.
The theoretical part includes characteristics of the whole Scotland in general, describes preconditions for the tourism development and presents some organizations related to tourism. In the theoretical part, there is also a description of the chosen region and its attractions. Moreover, different statistics related both to the whole country and the chosen region were processed. Using the method of structured interview, three accommodation facilities were analysed in a certain location. The interviews helped to obtain more detailed cognition of local accommodation facilities and to identify advantages and problems related to tourism in the location. Thanks to the comparison of statistics and thanks to the own research, the condition of tourism in the region was assessed. |
