| Abstract: | This Bachelor thesis seeks to analyse the rise and fall of the Red Brigades within the wave of Italian political terrorism in order to suggest the application of findings onto global terrorism, while working on three hypotheses. First, the thesis implies that features of multiple phases of terrorism are present in the life-span of the Italian left-wing terrorist organization. Secondly, within the dismantling of the Red Brigades, the role of the State is regarded as substantial (combined with internal conflicts). Lastly, upon the outlined analyses, the findings are deemed to be applicable onto the phase of global terrorism. Through mapping the activities of the Red Brigades and subjecting the major attacks to an analysis through the theoretical definitions of terrorism, the author seeks to draw conclusion mainly by a synthesis of the communicative strategy, psychological impact and state reaction(s) to terrorism. Concluding, the thesis suggests some key findings, regarded as effective tools of fight against Italian terrorism, to be applied onto global terrorism. |

| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je uplatnění poznatků z vzestupu a pádu Rudých brigád v rámci vlny italského politického terorismu v boji proti globálnímu terorismu. Bakalářská práce pracuje s třemi hlavními hypotézami. Za prvé, autor naznačuje, že během životnosti teroristické organizace jsou spatřitelné rysy více etap terorismu: národního, mezinárodního, a globálního. Za druhé, za jednu z příčin rozpadu teroristické organizace je považována úloha státní reakce (v kombinaci s vnitřními konflikty organizace). Za třetí, na základě výzkumu předchozích hypotéz, jsou jejich závěry považovány za aplikovatelné na globální etapu terorismu. Autor se snaží dojít k závěrům prostřednictvím mapování aktivit Rudých brigád a následném podrobení hlavních útoků organizace analýze dle vymezených teoretických definic terorismu. Ty jsou pak odvozené z finální syntézy komunikační strategie, psychologického dopadu terorismu a následné státní reakce. V závěru práce autor představuje několik poznatků, které považuje za klíčové a efektivní nástroje boje proti italskému terorismu, a navrhuje jejich aplikaci na globální terorismus. |
