| Abstract: | Hlavním tématem předložené bakalářské práce jsou multilaterální vyjednávání o denuklearizaci Severní Koreje s názvem Šestistranné rozhovory. Tato vyjednávání se konala mezi lety 2003 až 2009 za administrativy G. W. Bushe. Jeho politika byla známá tvrdým přístupem k nepřátelům USA. Právě role USA ve vyjednávání je pro práci klíčová. První kapitola práce analyzuje pojem hegemonie a její vývoj v historii. Druhá kapitola se pak věnuje identitě USA skrze teorii konstruktivismu. Závěrečná část se věnuje samotným Šestistranným rozhovorům, kde jsou zmíněny politika, strategie, zájmy a cíle USA v těchto jednáních. Poté je představena forma a průběh vyjednávání. Nakonec jsou uvedeny důvody rozpadu jednání. Cílem této práce je zjistit příčiny rozpadu Šestistranných rozhovorů. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis deals with multi-party negotiations about denuclearization of North Korea called Six-Party Talks. The negotiations took place from 2003 to 2009 during presidency of G. W. Bush. He was known for his hard-line policies towards enemies of the United States. The role of the U.S. is the main topic of the thesis. The first part analyzes the concept of hegemony and its historical development. The second part deals with the idea of identity of the U.S. through the theory of constructivism. The last part mentions the Six-party Talks itself. The American politics, strategy, main interests and aims of the negotiations are presented along with the form and evolution of the talks. Last but not least, the thesis portrays the main reasons of the discontinuation of negotiations. The main aim of the thesis is to find out the cause why the Six-party Talks crashed before they reached a solution. |
