Regional impact on unemployment at the hypothetical closure of Temelín and Dukovany nuclear power plants

| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem uzavření jaderných elektráren Temelín a Dukovany. Zejména řeší dopad na nezaměstnanost při tomto uzavření. Nejdůležitějším cílem je zjištění, zda uzavření elektráren postihne pouze regiony, ve kterých elektrárny působí, nebo i přilehlé regiony. Teoretická část obsahuje základní pojmy související s tématem, jako je nezaměstnanost, migrace nebo energetika. V praktické části jsou analyzována data z Českého statistického úřadu související s dojížďkou do zaměstnání a rozhovory s představiteli každé z elektráren. Na základě provedené analýzy lze říci, že uzavření by postihlo nejvíce regiony, ve kterých elektrárny sídlí. Dalšími postiženými regiony v případě elektrárny Temelín by byly přilehlé okresy, v případě elektrárny Dukovany by uzavření postihlo i sousedící kraj. |

| Abstract: | This Behelor´s thesis deals with closure of nuclear power plants Temelín and Dukovany. The most important topic is regional unemployment cause this closure. Main goal this thesis is to find out whether closure will only influence the regions in which the power plants operate or other regions. The theoretical part contains basic concepts related to topics such as unemployment, migration or energy. The practical part analyzes data from the Czech Statistical Office related to commuting and interviews with the representatives of each of the power plants. Based on this analysis, it can be said that the closure would affect most of the regions in which the power plants are located. In the case of power plant Dukovany closure affect region from another region. In the case of power plant Temelín closure affect only region in which operate. |
