| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá regulatorním konceptem Solvency II, který je od 1. 1. 2016 platný pro téměř všechny pojišťovny v rámci evropského pojistného trhu. První část práce se zabývá významem a historickým vývojem regulace pojistného trhu na území Evropské unie se zdůrazněním podoby v České republice. Jsou popsány metody regulace a dohledu, které bývají v praxi využívány nejčastěji. Druhá část práce je věnována konceptu sledování solventnosti pojišťoven a dříve platné metodice Solvency I. Třetí část práce se krátce zabývá průběhem světové finanční krize na pojistném trhu a popisuje argumenty regulátorů, proč musela být zastaralá metodika sledování solventnosti pojišťoven zmodernizována. Ukazuje vývoj a konečnou podobu směrnice Solvency II a zabývá se výsledky její implementace na českém pojistném trhu. |

| Abstract: | The master thesis deals with regulatory framework Solvency II which is applied to insurance companies in European Union since 1. 1. 2016. First part of the thesis deals with importance and historical development of European insurance market regulation and especially Czech insurance market regulation. It describes most common methods of regulation. Second part of the thesis is focused on monitoring solvency of insurance companies and Solvency I framework. Third part of the thesis shortly describes global financial crisis and its impact on insurance market. It shows the development and final form of Solvency II directive and deals with impact of Solvency II rules in Czech Republic. |
