| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat specifika účetnictví a auditu v odvětví hotelnictví. Nejprve je stručně shrnuta situace a vývoj hotelnictví v České republice. Další část se zabývá oblastmi účetnictví, které se v hotelnictví odlišují v některých aspektech od ostatních druhů podnikání. Následuje teoretický popis auditorských postupů, které vedou k ověření informací zveřejněných ve výročních zprávách. V poslední části jsou vybrány dva rozdílné hotely, u kterých je na významných položkách účetní závěrky demonstrovaná práce auditorů při ověřování toho, zda účetní závěrka podává věrný a poctivý obraz skutečnosti. |

| Abstract: | The purpose of this diploma thesis is to describe the accounting and auditing specifics in hotel industry. At first is briefly summarized the situation and trends of hotel industry in the Czech Republic. Next part covers the specific areas in accounting that are different from other industries than hotel industry. This section is followed by the theoretical basis of the audit procedures performed by auditors on information that will be published in the annual reports. In the last part are demonstrated possible audit procedures on material areas of the financial statements of two selected hotels in the Czech Republic to ensure the financial statements give true and fair view. |
