| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomickým vývojem Spojených států amerických v období před a po globální finanční krizi. Cílem práce je analýza průběhu procesu, který k této krizi vedl. Teoretická část obsahuje řadu událostí, které ovlivnily vývoj americké ekonomiky na přelomu milénií. Dále teoretická část rozvádí systém bankovních regulací a finančních derivátů. V praktické části je srovnáván vývoj vybraných ekonomik s USA pomocí řady makroekonomických indikátorů. Mimo to práce analyzuje role vybraných vlád a politiky, které po vypuknutí krize implementovaly. Práce nedokázala jednoznačně potvrdit, ani vyvrátit hypotézu, že před krizí bylo několik znaků, které indikovaly nerovnováhu na trhu a byly schopné včas před nadcházející krizí varovat. Analýzou vývoje však práce přináší ucelený pohled na makroekonomické hodnoty, které mohou krizi naznačit. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with the economic development of the United States of America in the period before and after the global financial crisis. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the progress of the process leading to this crisis. The theoretical part contains a number of events that have influenced the development of the American economy at the turn of the millennium. Furthermore, the theoretical part is dealt with by the system of banking regulations and financial derivatives. The practical section compares the development of selected economies with the USA through a series of macroeconomic indicators. In addition, the thesis analyzes the role of selected governments and policies that have been implemented after the outbreak of the crisis. The work could not unambiguously confirm or rebut the hypothesis that there were several signs before the crisis that indicated market imbalances and were able to warn in time for the upcoming crisis. By analyzing the development, however, the work brings a comprehensive view of the macroeconomic values that can indicate the crisis. |
