| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce „Zajišťovací účetnictví měnového rizika“ je analyzovat možnosti zajištění proti měnovému riziku se zaměřením na finanční deriváty a nastínění této problematiky z pohledu účetních předpisů, spolu se souvisejícím budoucím vývojem po příchodu nového standardu IFRS 9. V úvodu se práce věnuje popisu měnového rizika a charakteristice jednotlivých typů derivátů, poté pojednává o účtování s těmito nástroji. V praktické části je oceněna zajišťovací strategie modelové společnosti významnými bankami a výsledky jsou dále analyzovány. V závěru jsou představeny změny, které přinese nový standard IFRS 9. |

| Abstract: | The objective of this master thesis „Currency Risk and the Hedge Accounting“ is to analyze possibilities of currency risk hedging with focus on financial derivatives as well as to outline their accounting treatment and related future development after the adoption of the new standard IFRS 9. First chapters deal with description of the currency risk, characteristics of particular types of financial derivatives and effects of the application of hedge accounting. The practical section is dedicated to analysis of the valuation of hedge strategies provided by three financial institutions. Final part of the thesis aims to present changes arising from application of the new standard IFRS 9. |
