In the first part, the thesis introduces derivative market, explains how the market works and describes main types of derivative tools. It also briefly covers financial crises, which started the rising demand for regulation of OTC derivatives. In the second part, the thesis analysis the regulatory policies, effecting OTC derivatives and banking market, enacted in years 2010-2016 in the USA. The thesis analysis given indicators affected by the regulatory law and their impact on selected G-SIB institutions. The thesis overall confirms that the reforms of derivative markets through OTC regulatory laws secured better financial stability of US financial market. |
