Possibilities of using social networks in the insurance sector

The diploma thesis deals with the problem of social networking in an insurance sector of the Czech Republic. The goal of the diploma thesis is to define a set of best practices for successful activity of insurance companies on social networks, based on own research of current activity of selected insurance companies operating in the Czech Republic in social networks environment.The work consists of five main chapters. The first part summarizes the knowledge of the given social networking issues already obtained in other diploma thesis. The second chapter focused on social networking theoretically, describes the actual most important social networks in the world and the set of the best practices for using social networks. The third chapter describes tools for quantitative analysis and also describes the definition of insurance rating criteria. The fourth chapter contains a selection of the insurance companies and subsequently own research of social networks usage by selected insurance companies. Based on the survey, the last chapter presents a set of best practices that can be used to make insurance companies more effective on social networks.
