Controlling - reporting and planning in corporate practice

The area of interest in the Thesis is a wide field of controlling and concerns in the detailed controlling in Czech Republic located telecommunication company. The work starts with theory explaining concept of controlling, its responsibilities and goals, shortly describes key performance indicators, analytical tool Power BI and bases of data mining tasks. Next off is the analytical part with the intention of supporting telecommunication companies´ management department starting with brief description of actual reporting solutions of aforementioned department followed by author´s suggestion of new solution, which aims to simplify and refine managers´ decision making. The Thesis concludes with author modeling several analytical tasks employing data used in new solution applying knowledge mining and machine learning techniques. The aim of the Thesis comprising aiding with controlling tasks of management department is fulfilled by analyzing ongoing inadequate solution and introducing new reporting solution and analytical tools from Microsoft family and establishing complex and automated report with fast and economical administration. Primary outcome of the Thesis is newly introduced reporting solution and its possibilities of use for acquiring seemingly unobvious financial and essential information that might contribute to more effective managing.
