| Abstract: | Práce si klade za cíl srovnat poměr konvenčních a nukleárních zbraní u států NATO (s větším důrazem na Spojené státy americké) a dnešní Ruské federace společně s jejím předchůdcem Sovětským svazem. Konkrétně se srovnává rok 1987 s rokem 2016.Teoretický úvod je veden v premisách ofenzivního realismu, ve kterém hraje vojenská síla a ekonomika zemí důležitou roli. Na samotný výzkum v druhé a třetí kapitole navazuje poslední kapitola vysvětlující důsledky změněné rovnováhy sil na chování obou zkoumaných subjektů. |

| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the comparison of conventional and nuclear weapons between NATO countries (with greater emphasis on the United States of America) and today's Russian Federation together with its predecessor, the Soviet Union. Particularly the year 1987 is being compared with the year 2016.The theoretic introduction is based on the premises of offensive realism in which country military power and economy play an important role.The last chapter, that adheres to the own research in the second and third chapter, explains the effects of the transformed Balance of power on the behavior of both subjects. |
