| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá regulací zdravé stravy v souvislosti s obezitou. Jelikož v současné době trpí nadváhou a obezitou v některých zemích až dvě třetiny obyvatelstva, jedná se o velmi aktuální téma. Hlavním cílem práce je vymezit roli právní regulace zdravé stravy. Je řešení tohoto problému pouze v rukou jedince nebo státu? Je vůbec regulace vhodná? Pokud ano, do jaké míry? Výzkumná otázka se týká budoucnosti. Vzhledem k vzrůstajícímu trendu obezity u dětí, u kterých existuje velká šance, že budou obézní i v budoucnu, můžeme očekávat, že následky ponese především zdravotnictví, trh práce, a tak i celková ekonomika jednotlivých států. Jak velké výzvě do budoucna čelíme? V teoretické části je vymezena obezita, zdravá i nezdravá strava a právní regulace v Evropské unii i Spojených státech. Praktická část je zaměřena na dva konkrétní problémy, kterými jsou označování potravin a zdravotní tvrzení. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the regulation of healthy food related to obesity. Considering the fact that the prevalence of overweight and obesity is up to two-thirds of the population in some countries, this topic is very relevant. The main objective of this thesis is to define the role of legal regulation of healthy food. Is the solution in the hands of an individual or a state? Is the regulation appropriate? If so, to what extent? The research question concerns the future. Given the increasing trend of obesity in children with a high chance that they stay obese in the future, we can expect the consequences to be borne primarily by health, the labor market and the overall national economy. How big issue are we facing in the future? The theoretical part defines obesity, healthy and unhealthy diet and legal regulation in the European Union and the United States. The practical part focuses on two specific issues, namely food labeling and health claims. |
