Using MMABP to design dashboards

The diploma thesis deals with connection of process modeling area according to MMABP methodology and Business Intelligence (BI), more specific reporting and dashboards. This thesis has three goals set. The main objective (goal) is to develop a methodical framework for the design of dashboards from process models made in MMABP methodology. The remaining two objectives (goals) are the creation of process models in MMABP for consumer loan area and the verification of the methodological framework on created models. The thesis in the descriptive section offers a basic summary of BI, its components, reports and dashboards, and the basics of process modeling such as class diagram, detailed process models, and state diagram. The practical part of the thesis offers created processes according to the MMABP methodology, the methodical framework for the design of the dashboards and the practical demonstration of the dashboard design according to the developed methodological framework. This framework includes suggestions and manuals how to find metrics, dimensional and fact tables, how to find their structure (hierarchy), and then how to design the dashboard structure. Verification of the developed methodological framework is done by applying it on the created models. The main benefit of the thesis is the creation of a methodology that specifies how to create a dashboard structure from the process models. A partial benefit is also the illustrative application of the developed methodology on the created processes.
