| Abstract: | Cílem práce je představit koncept Industry 4.0 a zmapovat, jaký postoj k němu zastávají dodavatelské firmy v českém automobilovém průmyslu. V první části práce jsou popsány předešlé průmyslové revoluce. Následně je představen samotný koncept Industry 4.0 a s ním spojené oblasti – inovace business modelu a vybrané světové iniciativy. Zároveň je zde charakterizován český automobilový průmysl. Hlavní částí práce je kvalitativní výzkum založený na metodě polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Respondenty byli zástupci dodavatelů úrovně Tier 1. Výstupem práce je poznání, že pro firmy znamená Industry 4.0 převážně implementaci nových výrobních a logistických technologií, zvyšování úrovně digitalizace a automatizace. Práce odhaluje konkrétní důvody pro a proti zavádění Industry 4.0 a přibližuje pohled firem na návratnost investic do Industry 4.0. Okrajově je v práci diskutována role státu ve vztahu ke zkoumané problematice. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to introduce the concept of Industry 4.0 and to record the standpoint held by the supplier companies of the automotive industry. The first part of the thesis describes the former industrial revolutions. Further, the concept of Industry 4.0 is introduced along with its counterpart areas – innovation of a business model and selected world initiatives. Simultaneously the Czech automotive industry is characterised. The body of the thesis consists of a qualitative research based on the method of a semi-structured interview. The respondents in this thesis are Tier 1 supplier representatives. The outcome of this thesis is an understanding that Industry 4.0 implies the implementation of new production and logistical technologies and the necessity to increase the levels of digitalization and automation. The thesis exposes specific reasons pro and con the implementation of Industry 4.0 and explains the standpoints of companies regarding the returns on investment regarding Industry 4.0. This thesis also marginally observes the roles of the state in connection with the subject matter. |
