| Abstract: | Tématem diplomové práce je analýza fúzí roku 2016 a jejich potenciálního vlivu na strukturu tržního prostředí. První část práce je věnována ekonomické teorii pojednávající o možných rizicích, které fúze představují pro relevantní trhy. Dále zasazuje fúze do národního legislativního rámce a rozvádí možné cíle a motivy zúčastněných stran, které je vedou k realizaci fúze. V druhé části práce je popsána metodika a výsledky analýzy realizovaných fúzí. Výsledkem analýzy je, že většina fúzí zásadním způsobem neovlivňuje relevantní trh. Přidanou hodnotou práce je poznání, že u většiny realizovaných fúzí je hlavním motivem specifický a ojedinělý cíl fúze, jenž tradiční ekonomická teorie nepopisuje. |

| Abstract: | The topic of this thesis is an analysis of mergers in 2016 and their potential influence on market structure. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to economic theory addressing the possible risks that mergers pose to relevant markets. Furthermore, it puts the merger into the national legislative framework, and outlines the possible objectives and motives of the stakeholders that lead them to implement the merger. The second part describes methodology and results of the analysis. The result of the analysis is that most mergers do not fundamentally influence the relevant markets. The added value of the thesis is a finding that for most realized mergers is the main motive a specific and unique goal that traditional economic theory does not describe. |
