Analysis of the Sources of Financing and Their Impact on Economic Result in a Selected Company

| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je provést analýzu zdrojů financování vybrané společnosti, dále zjistit, jak tyto zdroje ovlivnily výsledek hospodaření, a v závěru navrhnout doporučení k efektivnějšímu rozvoji společnosti. Po teoretické části a vymezení metod potřebných pro analýzu zdrojů financování je komplexně rozebrána oblast financování analyzované společnosti. V této části jsou rozebrány jednotlivé položky finanční struktury, provedena horizontální a vertikální analýza, zhodnocen poměr vlastních a cizích zdrojů a aplikována pravidla financování. Součástí diplomové práce je výpočet a zhodnocení ukazatelů finanční analýzy, a to konkrétně ukazatelů z oblasti zadluženosti, rentability, likvidity a aktivity. V práci jsou dále rozebrány využívané zdroje financování, jimiž jsou krátkodobé a dlouhodobé bankovní úvěry, účelové úvěry, leasing, faktoring či dodavatelské úvěry, a jsou uvedeny jejich finanční náklady. Další část práce je zaměřena na porovnání společnosti s konkurencí v oboru. Je provedeno podrobné srovnání se čtyřmi konkurenčními společnostmi, a to v oblasti zdrojů financování i ukazatelů finanční analýzy. Dále je analyzovaná společnost srovnána s výsledky finanční analýzy 25 konkurenčních firem, která byla provedena specializovanou společností. Následuje srovnání s odvětvovým průměrem publikovaným Ministerstvem průmyslu a obchodu nebo s průměrem vypočteným pomocí Benchmarkingového diagnostického systému finančních indikátorů INFA. V závěru práce je vyhodnocena oblast financování v analyzované společnosti a jsou navržena doporučení směřující k efektivnějšímu financování a budoucímu rozvoji, kterými jsou např. sledování výše zadluženosti, zvážení využívání faktoringu nebo snížení objemu pohledávek řízením pohledávek. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the sources of financing of a selected company, to find out how these sources influenced the economic result, and finally to propose recommendations for more effective development of the company. After the theoretical part and defining the methods necessary for analyzing sources of financing, the area of financing of the analyzed company is examined in a comprehensive way. In this section, the individual items of the financial structure are analyzed, the horizontal and vertical analysis are made, the ratio of equity and debt capital is evaluated and the rules of financing are applied. Part of the diploma thesis is the calculation and evaluation of indicators of financial analysis, namely indicators in areas of indebtedness, profitability, liquidity and activity. The thesis further analyzes the used sources of financing, such as short-term and long-term bank credits, special-purpose credits, leasing, factoring and supplier credits, and their financial costs are stated. Another part of the thesis is focused on comparing the company with the competition in the field. A detailed comparison is made with four competing companies, both in the area of sources of financing and financial analysis indicators. Furthermore, the analyzed company is compared with the results of the financial analysis of 25 competing companies, which was carried out by a specialized company. Subsequently, a comparison is made with the sectoral average published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade or with the average calculated using the Benchmarking Diagnostic System of Financial Indicators INFA. At the end of the thesis, the area of financing in the analyzed company is evaluated and recommendations for more efficient financing and future development are proposed, such as the monitoring of the debt level, consideration of the factoring utilization or reduction of the volume of receivables by controlling of receivables. |
