| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce pojednává o neoklasickém pojetí maximalizace zisku a alternativních teoriích firmy, zmiňovány jsou manažerské a behavioristické teorie.Pozornost byla také věnována teorii maximalizace hodnoty firmy, teorii zájmovýchskupin, formulaci cílů a společenské odpovědnosti. V praktické části jsou na náhodněvybraném výzkumném vzorku čítajícím 500 firem testovány pomocí kvantitativníchmetod čtyři hypotézy. Ty zkoumají veličinu zisk a faktory ovlivňující jeho výši v nových doposud nezkoumaných souvislostech. Dosažené výsledky jsou vztaženy zpětk výchozím teoriím a následně kriticky zhodnoceny. Práce přináší nové vědecké poznatky vztahující se k zisku a alternativním cílům. |

| Abstract: | The purpose of this thesis is to describe the phenomenon of the neoclassical profit maximization theory and alternative theories of the firm as well as managerial and behavioral theories. The thesis also focuses on the theory of maximizing shareholder value, the Stakeholder Theory, the setting of company's objectives and corporate social responsibility. The thesis includes a research part where four hypotheses have been tested on a sample of 500 companies by quantitative research methods. The research has been held to investigate the impact of various factors on the profit size. The results are compared with the initial theories and critically evaluated. The thesis brings new ideas of profit and alternative theories of the firm. |
