| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice big data. Úvod práce je věnován samotnému pojmu big data. Jsou představeny a porovnány různé definice tohoto pojmu a přístupy k němu. Následně je nejčastěji používaná definice detailněji po částech popsána. Poté jsou představeny některé výzvy, jimž v souvislosti s big data čelí management společností. Kromě výzev jsou uvedeny i možná rizika s big data spojená. Prostor je věnován i datové vědě obecně a zejména požadavkům na datové vědce. Následně jsou představeny základní principy NoSQL databází a uvedeny základní typy těchto databází. Tyto typy jsou popsány jejich základními charakteristikami, které jsou vždy demonstrovány na příkladu konkrétního databázového systému. |

| Abstract: | This final thesis focuses on big data. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to the definition of the term big data. Various definitions and approaches to this term are presented. Subsequently, the most commonly used definition is described in detail. Some challenges faced by management of companies in relation to big data are introduced in the following parts of the thesis. In addition to the challenges, some possible risks related to big data are mentioned as well. Space is also devoted to data science in general and, in particular, to knowledge and skills requirements on data scientist. Subsequently, the basic principles of NoSQL databases and basic types of these databases are presented. These types are described by their basic characteristics, which are always demonstrated on the example of a particular database system. |
