| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce zkoumá hybatele trhu ropy a jejím cílem je ověřit hypotézu, jestli se trh futures americké ropy WTI chová efektivně a pokud ano, tak o jakou formu efektivnosti se jedná. Práce je rozdělena do 3 hlavních oblastí. V první je vybudován teoretický kontext, ve druhé jsou zkoumány konkrétní faktory trhu a třetí část se zabývá samotným výzkumem. Pro splnění cíle jsou využity dvě hlavní strategie - fundamentální a technická analýza. Fundamentální analýza zkoumá konkrétní faktory ovlivňující ceny ropy, které vyplynuly z úvodní části práce jako zásadní. Pomocí běžných ukazatelů technické analýzy, které vycházejí pouze z historických cen ropy a není tak třeba zjišťovat dodatečné informace o fundamentech, prověřuji možnosti predikce trendů trhu |

| Abstract: | This Master’s Thesis researches the main infuencers of the oil market. The target of this thesis is to verify the hypothesis that the WTI market is efficient. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first one the theory is summarized. In the second part I focus on the main oil market factors. In the third part there is the main empirical research. The research is realized using fundamental and technical analysis. The fundamental part analyses the most important economic factors. In the second type of analysis I use basic technical indexes and oscillators to find out if market trends can be predicted. |
