Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá socioekonomickými příčinami imigrace do České republiky za posledních 25 let. Cílem je prozkoumat problematiku vlivu různých příčin na chování imigrantů a odpovědět na otázku, zda je možné ovlivňovat, popřípadě řídit migraci. První část práce je věnovaná pojmu migrace, jejím typům a příčinám ovlivňujícím migraci, také ukazatelům, které se používají při jejích výpočtech. V následující části je představeno všeobecné třídění příčin přestěhování na ekonomické a neekonomické. Neekonomické se dá dále roztřídit na příčiny demografické, politické, přírodní a kulturní. V této kapitole je popsaná historie migrace v Evropě a současné problémy, které se týkají celé Evropské unie, hlavně problému azylantů v Evropě. Poslední kapitola je věnovaná příčinám imigrace v České republice, které jsou roztříděné v závislosti na účelu přestěhování cizinců. V kapitole jsou prozkoumané některé zásahy vládních institucí na migraci v ČR, vývoj imigrace podle státního občanství cizinců na území a jiných charakteristik, rovněž je představena migrační projekce v letech 2009 a 2013 a porovnání prognóz s reálným vývojem. Ze závěru práce vyplývá, že vládní instituce mohou imigraci ovlivňovat spíše krátkodobě, pomocí legislativních opatření a projektů podporujících cizince. Pokud stát zasahuje do migrace, měl by počítat s tím, že to může mít i negativní následky.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with socio-economic causes of immigration in the Czech Republic over the last 25 years. The aim of this thesis is to explore the issue of influence of various causes on the behaviour of migrants and answer the question whether is it possible to influence or manage migration. The first part is devoted to the concept of migration, its types and causes influencing migration, and the indicators used in its calculations. In the following part is presented the general classification of causes of relocation to economic and non-economic. Non-economic can be further categorized as demographic, political, natural and cultural. This chapter describes the history of migration in Europe and the current problems of asylum seekers in Europe. The last chapter is devoted to the causes of immigration in the Czech Republic, which are categorized according to the purpose of moving of foreigners. The chapter explores some interventions of governmental institutions on migration in the Czech Republic, the development of immigration according to the citizenship of foreigners in the territory and other characteristics, also is presented the migration projections in 2009 and 2013 and the comparison of forecasts with real development. The conclusion of the thesis shows that governmental institutions can influence immigration rather shortly, through legislative measures and projects supporting foreigners. If the state interferes with migration, government should expect it to have also negative consequences.
