Neo-Nazism and neo-fascism in the Czech Republic at the beginning of the 21st century (2010–2017)

| Abstract: | Disertační práce mapuje živé neonacistické a neofašistické politické strany a formace v České republice na počátku 21. století (2010–2017), přičemž analyzuje jejich vztah k současnosti i k minulosti. Součástí rozboru je i konfrontace formální a neformální podoby jednotlivých politických subjektů. Analyzovány jsou též mobilizační metody oslovování široké veřejnosti a nábory nových členů. Závěrečná část práce komparuje a hodnotí obě pravicově antisystémové scény.Neofašistická a neonacistická scéna je podrobována rozboru za pomoci terénních badatelských metod, které byly uplatňovány během sedmiletého monitoringu v České republice. Celý výzkum má tedy interdisciplinární charakter a opírá se o hloubkové rozhovory s aktivisty, poznatky získané metodou zúčastněného pozorování, dotazníková šetření a o kvalitativní analýzy osobních dokumentů, jako jsou manifesty, programatika, propagandistický tisk a profily na sociálních sítích. Práce je logicky strukturovaná do čtyř hlavních celků. První a druhá hlava je na základě konceptuálního vymezení výčtem a rozborem vybraných politických stran a organizací. Třetí a čtvrtá část má analytický charakter, neboť popisuje a vysvětluje mobilizační strategie a taktiky. |

| Abstract: | The dissertation is mapping active neo-Nazi and neo-fascist groups and formations in the Czech Republic at the beginning of the 21st century (2010–2017), analysing their relation both to the present and the past. The analysis includes a confrontation of both formal and informal images of individual political subjects. Further, mobilisation methods of addressing the general public and recruitment of new members are analysed. In the final part of the dissertation, both the right-wing anti-system scenes are compared.The neo-Nazi and neo-fascist scenes are analysed with the use of field research methods which were applied during the seven-year monitoring period in the Czech Republic. Thus, the whole research is of an interdisciplinary character and based on in-depth interviews with activists, pieces of knowledge obtained through interested observation, a questionnaire research and qualitative analyses of personal documents, such as manifestos, programmes, propagandistic prints and social media profiles. The dissertation is logically divided into four main chapters. Chapters I and II contain a list and analysis of selected political parties and organisations, based on conceptual specification. Chapters III and IV are of an analytical character, describing and explaining mobilisation strategies and tactics. |
