| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je zmapování problematiky letecké přepravy zvířat. První část teorie zahrnuje stručnou historii, právní aspekty doprovázející tento specifický druh přepravy a to jak mezinárodní předpisy, tak nařízení v rámci Evropské unie a České republiky. Druhá část práce se věnuje orgánům mezinárodním i České republiky, které se více či méně zabývají přepravou živých zvířat. Třetí část se pak zajímá o samotnou leteckou přepravu zvířat, o velikost přepravní schrány a s tím související správné označení kontejneru, potřebné dokumenty a závěr teoretické části je věnován společnostem, které se věnují přepravě živých zvířat, buď jako hlavní nebo doplňkové činnosti. Následuje praktická část obsahující představení zásilkové společnosti Horizon Cargo s. r. o. a přiblížení její činnosti. |

| Abstract: | The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to map out and discuss the issue of live animal air transport. The first section of the thesis presents a brief history of transporting animals by air, as well as the legal aspects of this specific type of transportation including international, European Union, and Czech regulations. The second section of the thesis discusses the various legislative bodies regulating air transportation for animals. The third section of the thesis discusses the live animal air transport itself, particularly the regulations around proper sizing and labelling of transport containers, the required documentation, and the specific airfreight companies that provide the service. The last, practical portion of the thesis presents one such company, Horizon Cargo Ltd., and describes its activities as they relate to live animal air transport. |
