| Abstract: | Tématem bakalářské práce jsou suverénní fondy a jejich regulace. Cílem je charakterizovat aktivitu suverénních fondů a jejich pozici mezi ostatními aktéry globálních finančních trhů, dále zjistit, jak jsou jejich aktivity regulovány jimi samotnými a také ze strany OECD, EU a národních legislativ na příkladu Německa a Spojených států amerických. První kapitola podává ucelený obraz o suverénních fondech - původ bohatství, transparentnost, cíle, investice, rozložení majetku ve světě atd. Druhá kapitola se zabývá již zmíněnou regulací, jejími principy, právními předpisy a kontrolními mechanismy. Poslední kapitola nabízí porovnaní dvou suverénních fondů, a sice Mubadala Investment Company (Spojené arabské emiráty) s Government Pension Fund – Global (Norsko). |

| Abstract: | The Bachelor thesis deals with sovereign wealth funds and their regulation. The aim of this paper is to describe sovereign wealth funds activities and their position within other global players in the financial market. In addition to that the paper aims to ascertain a regulatory framework which is being used to control their business by the OECD countries, the European Union, as well as the legislation in Germany and in the United States. Also, they were forced to regulate their business by themselves. The first chapter concerns the issue as a whole – it pursues the origin of their wealth, transparency, objectives, investment activities, distribution of their assets around the world, etc. The second chapter shows the regulation, its principles, particular law, and inspecting mechanisms in practice. The last part offers a comparison of two sovereign wealth funds: Mubadala Investment Company (the United Arab Emirates) with Government Pension Fund- Global (Norway). |
