Implementation of Knowledge Management system in O2 Czech Republic a.s

Cílem diplomové práce je provést kustomizaci aplikace řízení znalostí iCMS pro potřeby společnosti O2 Czech Republic a.s. v souladu s požadavky pro proces tvorby nové interní produktové a procesní dokumentace. Nová aplikace musí podporovat požadavky managementu na novou strukturu, způsob tvorby, správy, prezentace a designu nové interní dokumentace. První, teoretická část práce představuje základní informace o oboru řízení znalostí, tedy Knowledge Management. Obecní informace jsou dále rozvité z pohledu projektového managementu s užším zaměřením na specifika řízení projektů znalostního managementu. V druhé, praktické, části práce je prostor věnován popisu problému, který diplomová práce řeší, představení společnosti O2 Czech Republic a.s. a programu SOC. Konkrétně práce věnuje pozornost projektu Business Rollout a jeho streamu Knowledge Management, zaměřenému na tvorbu nové firemní interní dokumentace. Práce představí stávající situaci produktové a procesní dokumentace, požadavky na změnu a vizi nového konceptu a představí nově navrhnutý proces tvorby. Tyto vstupy práce následně zpracovává a s přihlédnutím k nim, navrhuje požadavky na úpravu a kustomizaci nového systému iCMS. Součástí práce je dále i jeho uživatelské testování, včetně představení konečným uživatelům. Po zpracování výsledků jsou zadané doplňující požadavky na funkcionality a uživatelskou práci se systémem dodavateli. V rámci práce je taktéž připravený manuál práce se systémem, zaměřený na konkrétní potřeby společnosti. Za účelem přiblížení systému uživatelům, jsou připraveny ukázkové prototypy produktových a procesních stránek interní dokumentace. Spolu s dalšími školícími materiály představují podklady pro školení konečných uživatelů, kteří interní dokumentaci podle nové koncepce budou tvořit. Závěrem práce je shrnutí přínosu práce ve formě dosáhnutých výsledků implementace nového systému do praxe a návrhu vylepšení systému a práce s ním do budoucna.

The main goal of this master´s thesis is to customize a new application for Knowledge Man-agement, iCMS, for the specific needs of O2 Czech Republic a.s. in line with the management requirements for creating new internal product and process documentation. The new application must support the management requirements for a new structure, process of creation, administration, presentation and design of new internal documentation. The first, theoretical, part of the thesis contains the basic information about the Knowledge Management field, from general point of view and later on, from the point of view of project management. In more detail, the thesis points out specifics of Knowledge Management projects and project management of knowledge. The second, practical, part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the problem, which the thesis meets and the presentation of the company O2 Czech Republic a.s., as well as one of its highest priorities in the company, the SOC program. In particular, the work draws attention to the Business Rollout project and its stream Knowledge Management, which is focused on implementing the new internal documentation. The thesis analyzes the current situation of product and process documentation, requirements for change and vision for the new concept and the new process in more details. The thesis takes these requirements into consideration and proposes the requirements for customization of the application´s functionalities and creating and editing content in it. Following, the user tests are conducted, including the tests with end users. After the results are processed, additional functional and user requirements are officially demanded. The application manual specifically focused on the needs of the company is also prepared. In order to present the new documentation to the users, prototypes of internal product and process documentation are created. With other training materials, they become essentials of user training for the users, who will create the content of internal documentation according to the new concept. The conclusion of the thesis is a summary of its contribution in the form of achieved results of the implementation of the new concept into practice and the proposal of additional improvements for the system and the process in the future.
