| Abstract: | Tématem diplomové práce je Evropská sousedská politika a politika Východního partnerství, aplikovaná na případ Gruzie. Tato problematika je zkoumána pomocí kvantitativní i kvalitativní obsahové analýzy. Cílem této práce je odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku: „Je možné považovat Evropskou unii za normativního aktéra a Východní partnerství za normativní iniciativu, dle teorie normativní moci formulované Ianem Mannersem?“, a to pomocí několika dílčích výzkumných otázek. Diplomová práce se tedy zabývá normativními hodnotami, normativními prostředky a normativními cíli, které by měly být obsaženy ve vybraném souboru dokumentů, vztahujících se k tématu práce. Jednotlivé dokumenty jsou podrobeny obsahové analýze založené na poznatcích z teoretické části práce a následně vyhodnoceny.Gruzie se již od svého vzniku snaží rozvíjet vztahy s Evropskou unií (EU). Nejprve byla podepsána Dohoda o partnerství a spolupráce, poté v roce 2004 vznikla Evropská sousedská politika a v neposlední řadě v roce 2009 pak politika Východního partnerství. Žádná z těchto iniciativ ale netvoří základ pro jednání o přistoupení k EU. |

| Abstract: | The theme of this diploma thesis is the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership policy, applied to the case of Georgia. This issue is investigated using quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The aim of this work is to answer the research question: “Can the European Union be considered as a normative actor and the Eastern Partnership as a normative initiative, according to the theory of normative power formulated by Ian Manners?”, with assistance of several partial research questions. This diploma thesis deals with normative values, normative means and normative objectives, which should be contained in the selected set of documents related to the topic of work. Each document is subjected to content analysis based on knowledge from the theoretical part of the thesis and subsequently evaluated.Since its establishment, Georgia has been striving to develop relations with the European Union (EU). Firstly, the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement was signed, followed by the European Neighbourhood Policy in 2004 and the Eastern Partnership Policy in 2009. However, none of these initiatives provide the basis for EU accession negotiations. |
