| Abstract: | Diplomová práce pojednává o problematice Business Intelligence, cloud computingu a jejich možném spojení v podobě cloud Business Intelligence. Zprvu se práce zaměřuje na přiblížení jednotlivých témat – jejich vlastností, obecně platných principů, výhod a nevýhod. Vedle základní teorie jsou analyzovány aktuální trendy a statistické údaje vypovídající o využití jednotlivých oblastí. Hlavním cílem práce je nalézt pravou podstatu toho, pro koho, kdy a proč je cloud BI řešení vhodnější anebo naopak, kdy je vhodnější klasické on-premise řešení. Jedním z výstupů práce je vytvořený checklist (ve dvou různých verzích), po jehož vyplnění získá čtenář odpovědi na vhodnost jedné či druhé varianty, a to s ohledem na aktuální situaci firmy i její případné individuální preference. Práce rovněž nabízí přehledné a objektivní srovnání obou variant z několika různých dimenzí. V závěru práce je na dvou zvolených příkladech demonstrován a podrobně okomentován praktický způsob užití checklistu. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with issues of Business Intelligence, cloud computing and their possible connection – cloud Business Intelligence. The thesis focuses on the getting familiar with several particular themes: the characteristics; generally valid principles; advantages and disadvantages. In addition to the basic theory, current trends and statistical usage data are analyzed. The main goal of this thesis is to find the true essence for whom, when and why the cloud BI solution is more suitable, or on the contrary when the traditional, on-premise solution is more advantageous and suitable. One of the outputs is the checklist (in two different versions), which provides answers about suitability of one or the other variant with respect to the current situation of the company and possibly indvidual preferences. The thesis also offers a well-arranged, objective based comparison of both variants from several different dimensions. At the conclusion, on practical examples, a practical way of checklist usage is demonstrated. |
