Germany’s position on the organic food market

This bachelor thesis analyses the position of Germany in the European and world organic food market. The first chapter deals with the theoretical definition of terms that are important for the complete understanding of the other chapters of the thesis. In the second chapter the German organic food market is presented in detail for a purpose of comparing it in the next chapter, which contains a comparison of the organic food market in Germany with the markets of the states in Europe and then with the states of other continents of the world. The comparison is contained in several areas, such as raw material production, food production or consumption and in various indicators, both relative and absolute. The last chapter tells more about the world’s trade fair of organic food Biofach, which takes place annually in Nuremberg, Germany. The content is the basic information about the fair and interesting views of the three Slovak companies that participated in Biofach in 2018.

Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje postavení Německa na evropském a světovém trhu biopotravin. První kapitola se zabývá teoretickým vymezením pojmů, které jsou důležité pro úplné pochopení dalších kapitol práce. Ve druhé kapitole je podrobně představen německý trh s biopotravinami pro účely jeho srovnání v další kapitole, která obsahuje srovnaní trhu biopotravin v Německu s trhy států v Evropě a následně se státy ostatních kontinentů světa. Porovnání je obsaženo ve více oblastech, jakými jsou pěstování surovin, produkce či spotřeba a v různých ukazatelích, relativních i absolutních. Poslední kapitola hovoří o světovém veletrhu biopotravin Biofach, který se každoročně koná v německém Norimberku. Obsahem jsou základní informace o veletrhu a zajímavé postřehy třech slovenských firem, které se veletrhu v roce 2018 zúčastnily.
