The analysis and proposal of ways for application release automation integration into ITIL environment of specific company

The diploma thesis is aimed to analyze and propose ways of integration of application release automation into ITIL environment. To achieve this goal thesis applies principles of holistic exploratory case study with one scenario. The analysis of target company helps to outline problem areas in intersection of implemented ITIL processes and application release procedures. The proposal addresses these problem areas and suggests method, which supports integration of application release automation principles into ITIL environment and simultaneously helps to reach synergy of both. The final framework summarizes current state of analyzed environment and the state which should be reached after the implementation of proposed method. The framework also describes four main aims, that should be potentially reached in case of integration of application automation into ITIL procedures. The analysis observes sufficient maturity level of ITIL process and usage of ARA platform the way that doesn’t support highly automated scalable releases. The proposal suggests improving analyzed state by implementing automation portal, which enables to manage scalable automatic releases and related to it requests for change and requests for infrastructure provisioning.
