| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá cestou Velké Británie od počátku její integrace v Evropské unii do okamžiků zhruba jednoho a půl roku po referendu o vystoupení z ní konaném roce 2016. Pohledem do historie a následným zhodnocením dopadů členství Velké Británie v EU jsou zkoumány důvody, které Británii k tomu kroku vedly. V návaznosti na to se práce věnuje právnímu zakotvení vystoupení z EU a spolu s probíhajícím vyjednáváním obou stran jsou analyzovány krátkodobé ekonomické dopady brexitu na Velkou Británii. V souvislosti se stále probíhajícím jednáním ohledně budoucího uspořádaní britsko-unijních vztahů práce uvádí a hodnotí několik možných modelů podoby budoucího vztahu Velké Británie k EU, na jejichž základě jsou nastíněny dopady dlouhodobé. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with the path of the United Kingdom from the beginning of its integration in the European Union until about one and a half years after the referendum in June 2016. Thesis examines the reasons and motivation of this step through looking into history and the subsequent evaluation of the impacts of the EU membership. Consequently, the thesis deals with the legal basis of Brexit and together with the ongoing negotiations of both parties the short-term economic impacts of Brexitis on the UK are analysed. In the context of ongoing talks on the future organization of UK-EU relations, it lists and evaluates several possible models of the future relationship between Britain and the EU to outline possible long-term impacts. |
