| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá 4 konflikty, které vedly k rozdělení území v oblasti Německa, Koreje, Vietnamu a Palestiny. Cílem práce je komparace příčin rozdělení těchto území a následný dopad na vývoj mezinárodních vztahů. Práce zasazuje konflikt v Německu, Koreji a Vietnamu do kontextu studené války a analyzuje, jaký vliv a význam měla jednotlivá území na vývoj konfliktu mezi Východem a Západem. Specifický případ tvoří arabsko-izraelský konflikt, jehož dynamika a vývoj je od výše zmiňovaných konfliktů odlišný. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with 4 conflicts which led to the division of territories in the area of Germany, the Korean peninsula, Vietnam, and Palestine. The aim of the thesis is a comparison of causes leading to that division and its following impact on the development of international relations. The work puts these conflicts into the Cold War context and analyzes, how they influence the development of the East-West conflict. The specific case accounts for the Arab-Israeli conflict whose dynamics and development is different from the other three. |
