| Abstract: | This thesis is aimed to analyze the current position of Afghanistan in international trade relations, using three lenses; a brief overview of the economic landscape; a contemporary analysis of current trade practices and barriers and finally, a future prognosis of Afghanistan's trade and investment sphere. Afghanistan is presented as potentially playing a critical role between Central Asia and South Asia, and the Middle East and Far East. Due to the current economic overview, presented in Chapter 1, and current local and regional factors affecting trade and investment, presented in Chapter 2, the obstacles are examined, defined and evaluated. Chapter 3 takes into consideration the given obstacles, and outlays the projects and agreements currently existing in Afghanistan, those of which are demonstrating a considerable effect on Afghanistan's prospective global trade and investment. Highlighting the potential opportunities and overcoming of obstacles, the thesis concludes the Role of Afghanistan in Global Trade and Investment as promising. |

| Abstract: | Práce je zaměřena na analýzu současné pozice Afganistánu v mezinárodních obchodních vztazích s využitím tří přístupů: stručného přehledu ekonomiky, současné analýzy obchodní praxe a bariér a konečně, budoucí prognózy afgánského obchodu a investic. Afganistán je představen jako potenciální významný prostředník mezi střední Asií a jižní Asií, a mezi Blízkým Východem a Dalekým Východem. Současný ekonomický přehled je představen v kapitole 1, a současné a regionální faktory ovlivňující obchod a investice jsou představeny v kapitole 2. Na základě těchto dvou kapitol jsou zkoumány, definovány a zhodnoceny překážky. Kapitola 3 bere v úvahu dané překážky, a představuje projekty a dohody, které v současnosti v Afganistánu existují. Jedná se o překážky, které představují významný vliv na afgánský perspektivní obchod a investice. Práce zdůrazňuje potenciální příležitosti a možnost odstranění překáže a závěrem konstatuje, že role Afganistánu je v globálním obchodě a investicích slibná. |
